Important information about “2019 novel coronovirus” or “COVID-19”
At Albury Central Medical Clinic we have taken the following extra measures to keep you safe during COVID-19:
- UV-C ultraviolet disinfection of all areas and regular disinfection of all surfaces
- Social distancing
- Installation of perspex screens at reception
- Staff wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Please tell clinic staff immediately if you have a fever, sore throat, cough or breathing problems. Please do not attend the clinic if you are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms.
As part of our work to support our patients and community, you can book a TeleHealth consultation with our doctors when you call the practice.
Based on the information provided by both Federal and State government authorities " people who have been a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 or who returned from a listed higher risk country, must not attend public gatherings until 14 days after leaving the country or having contact with a confirmed case even if they are completely symptom free. Those undergoing COVID-19 testing also must not attend public gatherings until they have received their results".

Flu shots available at Albury Central Medical Clinic
Free seasonal influenza vaccine is funded for the following groups at higher risk of complications from influenza:
- All adults aged 65 years and over
- All children aged 6 months to less than 5 years of age
- Pregnant women (during any stage of pregnancy)
- All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
- Anyone aged 6 months and over who has a chronic condition placing them at increased risk of complications from influenza
If you are not eligible for a free flu vaccine we can provide you with private vaccine for a fee.
Workplace Flu vaccination bookings.
The clinic can provide in-clinic and on-site flu vaccination at your workplace. We also offer various in-clinic and on-site workplace vaccinations including Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Whooping Cough, Typhoid, Q fever and others as required by specific industries.

Shingles vaccination
The Practice is offering a shingles vaccination to eligible patients. Vaccination is safe and effective way to protect you from serious disease caused by shingles.
If you are eligible, you can get the shingles vaccine for free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
To qualify for this vaccine patients must be 70-74 years old, or 78-79 years old. Other age groups will be introduced in a future years to ensure that all people aged 70 to 79 are offered vaccination against shingles.
Please be aware that patients lose their eligibility for a Shingles vaccination on the day of their 80th birthday.
The shingles vaccine will be given as a single injection. The vaccine is expected to reduce your risk of getting shingles.
Employment Drug and Alcohol Screening
Our Practice offers Drug and Alcohol Screening Services to Australian Standards. Alcohol testing is conducted using a hand-held alcohol breathalyser.
Our health professionals are Nationally Accredited to perform Drug&Alcohol Screening in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZS4308, AS4760&AS3547. Please call the clinic for further information in regards to this service.
